PLAYING THE GAME THE RIGHT WAY
Our History
Mr. Buddy Meyer, created the first “Chain Baseball” team in 1985 after his company Chain Reps LLC. I played for Chain Baseball in 1993 and started coaching a Chain team in 2007. The Chain name has been a stepping stone over the past few years to help our organization get to where we are today.
Mr. Buddy never envisioned what our organization has become. From San Diego, CA to Winston-Salem, NC from Forest Park, GA to Tampa, FL, the growth of our organization and the impact that a couple of old south Georgia boys have created is unbelievable. With growth, always comes growing pains, Mr .Buddy’s Chain Baseball infrastructure was flawed and never designed to grow to this magnitude.
I feel certain that Mr. Buddy would be proud of our accomplishments since his passing in 2014. We recorded back to back 15U and 16U PG National Championships. Our freshman group was ranked #2 in the country and our sophomore group was ranked #3 in the country. This past year alone we have had 32 D1 commits. These were all were firsts in the history of “Chain”.
This has been a very hard decision for me, but in the best interest of our players, coaches and organization it’s now it’s time to lay the Chain name to rest. And move forward to a new brand that is capable of serving Amateur players across the Nation.
We have spoken with many current and past alumni. And with careful thought, preparation, development, and design “FIVE STAR NATIONAL” will serve as our organizational name from this day forward. Nothing has changed but the name.
